Serbian Armed Forces display HQ-17AE anti-aircraft defence system for first time

KRUSEVAC - The Serbian Armed Forces' newly-acquired HQ-17AE anti-aircraft defence system was publicly displayed for the first time at Friday's tactical and technical assembly in Krusevac, also attended by Serbian PM Milos Vucevic and government ministers.

The HQ-17AE is a Chinese-made short-range anti-aircraft defence system designed to protect troops on land.

Dacic: Gendarmerie has convinced people it will not back down in fight against crime

Dacic said the Gendarmerie had convinced the people it would not back down in the fight against crime and all challenges that could potentially threaten national security.

Vucic: 2028 UEFA Europa League final to be played at National Stadum in Belgrade

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Wednesday the National Stadium was due to be finished by December 1, 2026 and that an agreement had been reached for it to be the venue of the 2028 UEFA Europa League final, and noted that it would be one of the three most beautiful stadiums in Europe.

Vucic continues consultations, meets with representatives of SPS-led list

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic began Monday's consultations about a PM designate with a meeting with representatives of the Socialist Party of Serbia-led Ivica Dacic - PM of Serbia electoral list.

SPS leader Dacic entered the building of the General Secretariat of the President of the Republic in central Belgrade shortly before 10 am.

Mali presents Expo 2027 project to Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak

BELGRADE - Serbian Deputy PM and Finance Minister Sinisa Mali presented on Tuesday a project to build the Expo 2027 complex to Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, who is visiting Belgrade.

After the presentation, Mali gave Wozniak a basket of organic apples, as well as a replica of a 14th-century dinar coin from the era of Serbian Emperor Dusan.
