Gallery Genesis (121 Ippokratous) unveils a retrospective exhibition titled "Pindos-Himalayas/Landscape Quests 2012-2024" by artist Ioanna Konstantinou, curated by Yiorgos Tzaneris. Over the past 12 years, Konstantinou has depicted nature's essence, focusing on untouched landscapes and infusing realism with impressionistic techniques.

Show takes visitors back 150 years to Impressionism's birth
The Orsay Museum in Paris is marking 150 years of Impressionism today with an unprecedented reassembling of the masterpieces that launched the movement, and a virtual reality experience that takes visitors back in time.
Using VR technology, visitors to "Paris 1874: Inventing Impressionism" can take a plunge into the streets, salons and beauty spots that marked a revolution in art.

Louvre Abu Dhabi marks five years with major Impressionism show
A major exhibition of impressionist art opened on Oct. 12 at the Louvre Abu Dhabi, featuring works from masters such as Cezanne, Degas, Manet, Monet, Pissarro and Renoir.
Billed as one of the most significant exhibitions on the 19th century art movement ever held outside France, it features more than 150 works on loan from the Musee d'Orsay in Paris.
Rarely seen Van Gogh painting exhibited ahead of auction
A rare painting by Dutch impressionist master Vincent van Gogh of a street scene in the Parisian neighborhood of Montmartre will be publicly displayed for the first time before its auction next month.
Sotheby's auction house said the work, painted in 1887, has remained in the same family collection for more than 100 years out of the public eye.
Play aims to make ‘impression’ in Taksim
"The Exhibition," an immersive play examining the Impressionist painters of 19th century France, will be staged on the terrace of Rasputin Bar in Taksim on Sept. 21, 27 and 28.

Claude Monet's Haystack painting fetches $110.7 mn at auction
A Claude Monet painting from his celebrated "Meules" (Haystacks) series fetched $110.7 million in New York on May 14 in an auction record for the French Impressionist master.
Picture of Renoir Was Stolen in Brazen Theft Ahead of Auction in Vienna
A picture of French Impressionist Renoir was stolen from a Viennese auction house, the Austrian police reported. The painting worth about 160,000 euros. Today it has to be put on action.
The picture is a landscape and has been taken off unnoticed by the wall where it was on display prior to the sale.
So far, there is no more information about the crime.
Edgar Degas' Ballerinas Strike a Pose at Belgrade
Celebrated French impressionist Edgar Degas' drawings, monotypes and photographs will be on display at Belgrade's Gallery of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, SANU, from July 15 -September 15.
The exhibition, titled Edgar Degas: Moments of Observation, is being organised in cooperation with the National Museum in Belgrade and SANU.

Romantic landscapes of Felix Ziem at Pera Museum
Pera Museum's "Félix Ziem: Wanderer on the Sea of Light" exhibition presents the works of one most original landscape painters of the 19th century: Félix Ziem.
The exhibition focuses on Ziem as an artist who left his mark on 19th century painting and who is mostly known for his paintings of Istanbul and Venice, where the city and the sea are intertwined.
