Poor households squeezed, study shows

Low-income households spend a very high proportion of their income on college and university education compared to higher-income households, according to a study by the Center for Research and Training in Public Health, Health Policy and Primary Healthcare released on Monday and based on the latest data from the Hellenic Statistical Authority.

Households experience rise in income over past year

Ljubljana – More than a quarter of Slovenian households have seen their incomes rise over the past year, while the share of households that have had problems paying their housing costs has also increased, shows a report by the Statistics Office. Meanwhile, 18% of households struggled to make ends meet with their income.

Average monthly income 5,302 lei in Q3, expenditures 83.8 pct

The total monthly average income per household stood at 5,302 lei in the third quarter of last year, and the total expenditures reached, on average, 4,444 lei per month/per household, accounting for 83.8% of the total income level, show the data of the National Institute of Statistics (INS), published on Monday.

NSI: Household Income Grows By 7.3% in 2018

The annual total income average per capita is 6 013 BGN in 2018 and increases by 7.6% compared to 2017. The total income average per household member increases 1.6 times during the 2009 - 2018 period.
