Turkey's Çelebi Aviation Holding has shown interest in buying state-owned Air India's ground handling operations, India's aviation secretary Rajiv Nayan Choubey said on Sept. 8.

Çelebi also provides ground handling services in India.

Çelebi has written to the ministry showing interest to bid for the Indian flag carrier's ground handing operations, Choubey told Reuters.

A Turkish Airlines flight from Bangkok made an emergency landing in New Delhi after a written bomb threat was found in a toilet on the Airbus A330 passenger jet carrying 134 passengers, the airline and Indian security sources said.
   

The Kathmandu Tribhuwan International Airport remained closed for a second day on March 5, after a Turkish Airlines jet skidded off the wet surface of the runway on the early hours of March 4, while officials said they aimed to reopen the airport on March 6.
