In the fifth installment of this beloved swashbuckling series of films, Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) races against time to retrieve a legendary dial, the Antikythera Mechanism, created by ancient Greek scientist Archimedes in the 3rd century BC that can change the course of history.

Indiana Jones and Harrison Ford swung into Cannes on Thursday for the world premiere of "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny" in one of the most anticipated events of the French Riviera festival.

Fedoras abounded in the throngs of onlookers who watched Ford and company hit the red carpet.

Indiana Jones is swinging into the French Riviera. "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny," the fifth film in the Harrison Ford adventure series, will make its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival on May 18, festival organizers announced on April 3. Cannes will also pay a tribute to Ford for his career.
