Four charged on Samos for using 3D printer to make guns
Police on the island of Samos in the eastern Aegean have arrested four suspects, aged between 19 and 20, who they say used a 3D printer to produce firearms.
The suspects are facing numerous charges related to the manufacturing, possession, and distribution of firearms, as well as involvement in drug trafficking, specifically unprocessed cannabis.
UK to offer 600m in pollution-cutting support for steelmakers
Britain will offer grants to help its two largest steelmakers replace dirty blast furnaces with less carbon-intensive technology, media reported.
‘100 women to receive welding training this year’
With an aim to train 100 females in the field of welding, a social welfare foundation has opened a course in which its trainees get the right to take an international proficiency exam after completing 90 hours of training.
Gedik Education Foundation has started to provide training in welding, a male-dominant sector, to women.

ArcelorMittal to close two blast furnaces
ArcelorMittal, the world's number-two steel maker, has said it will shut down two of its blast furnaces in Europe over high energy prices and lower demand.
Its furnaces in Bremen in northern Germany and near Gijon in northern Spain will cease to operate until further notice at the end of the month, it announced.

Czech sculptor creates 3D-printed floating house
A Czech sculptor has teamed up with a group of architects to create a 3D-printed house prototype that could become a holiday home for the future.
The house is being printed from special concrete in the southern Czech city of Ceske Budejovice and is planned to float on the Vltava river in Prague in August.
