Flu vaccine free of charge also this year
Ljubljana – Vaccination against the flu will be free of charge for all Slovenian residents with health insurance this season after it was already free the last two seasons to better fight the coronavirus epidemic.

Minister expects significant decline in infection cases within weeks
A significant decline in the number of COVID-19 infections in the next two or three weeks is expected, Turkish Health Minister Fahrettin Koca has expressed.
"The number of daily infections has decreased to some 10,000," Koca said while talking to journalists on Aug. 23.
According to the minister, the hospitalization numbers are also on the decline.
China detects first human case of H3N8 bird flu
China has confirmed the first known human case of the H3N8 strain of avian flu, but health authorities say there is a low risk of widespread transmission among people.
H3N8 is known to have been circulating since 2002 after first emerging in North American waterfowl. It is known to infect horses, dogs and seals, but has not previously been detected in humans.

According to Dr Sekler, it can be noticed that "the virus has crossed two thirds of the way and that everything is on the right track for now".
Sekler told RTS that the winter period is generally the season of respiratory diseases, and he estimated that children should go to kindergartens and schools.
