Record 13 pct increase in labor Inspections
Hellenic Labor Inspectorate inspections in 2023 increased by almost 13 percent compared to the year before, reaching an all-time high, it was announced Monday.
More specifically, the number of inspections conducted by the agency in 2023 reached 73,579 over 65,286 in 2022.

Bulgaria: Man was Detained for Issuing Fake Certificates in Bansko
The Regional Health Inspectorate and the police in Bansko detained a 40-year-old man who was conducting covid tests and issuing certificates without the permission of the Blagoevgrad Health Inspectorate.
The arrest came in the afternoon yesterday after RHI employees pretended to be customers and paid for the tests without being examined.

Labour Inspectorate receives 28% more reports of violations in 2020
Ljubljana – Slovenia’s Labour Inspectorate received 9,260 reports of violations in 2020, an increase of 28% compared to 2019. 6,867 reports were connected to employment relations, 2,043 in the field of occupational safety and health, and 350 reports were connected to social affairs. The inspectorate carried out 17,334 inspections last year.

Ljubljana – The Health Inspectorate has received several complaints and is looking into an event Economy Minister Zdravko Počivalšek attended on Friday in the aftermath of media reports suggesting that the meeting may not have been held in compliance with coronavirus restrictions.
