Meta, Amazon beat expectations with stellar results

Meta and Amazon on Thursday blew through expectations in their latest quarterly results as Big Tech continued to impress Wall Street.

Meta, the tech titan behind Facebook and Instagram, reported a profit of $14 billion in the final three months of last year, beating analyst forecasts as revenue climbed to $40.1 billion in the quarter.

In the course of live phone-in news report on TV Prva, new explosions were heard.
The head of the Department for Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Luka aui, told TV Prva that the fire was reported at 6:57 a.m. and that the teams arrived in just a few minutes, but that the fire had already flared up.

The cause of the fire at the Chinese mall is still unknown, with huge black smoke and flames billowing from the mall.
Ministry of the Internal Affairs received a report about the fire at 6:57 a.m. A total of 46 firefighters-rescuers, with 13 vehicles, were sent to the scene from New Belgrade, Zemun, Koutnjak, Vodovac, and Zvezdara.

Turkish competition watchdog imposes daily fine of $160,000 on Meta

Türkiye's competition board has declared that it started to fine Facebook-parent company Meta Platforms 4.8 million Turkish Liras ($160,000) per day over failure to fulfill its obligations on data collection from users.

In 2021, the Competition Authority initiated a probe in response to the software update imposed by WhatsApp on its users, mandating data sharing.
