International reactions to the Brexit referendum

Britain needs a new fiscal plan to navigate economic turbulence caused by Britain's vote to leave the European Union, finance minister Philip Hammond said on Oct. 3, stressing the need to balance spending cuts with infrastructure investment.

U.S. President Barack Obama has warned a trade deal between the U.S. and U.K. "would not happen any time soon" should the latter leave the EU.

During a press conference with U.K. Prime Minister David Cameron on April 22, Obama answered questions over the debates around what critics have qualified as an intervention in Britain's EU referendum.

Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias addressed the University of Tehran in Iran on Sunday. He said that Greek foreign policy seeks to be “active and responsible” to unite and “utilize the past for the future”.
