Status of halloumi under review
The Monitoring Committee on the renowned Cypriot white cheese, halloumi, will convene for its first meeting in the last week of September, Cyprus' Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and the Environment Maria Panayiotou told the Cyprus News Agency.

Dairy company Kri Kri expands operations to US
Serres-based dairy company Kri Kri is expanding its operations to the US, starting from supermarkets in Texas with Greek Frozen Yogurt as a vehicle.
The US launch of Kri Kri Frozen Yogurt follows the company's highly successful participation in both the International IDDBA Show in Houston in June and Newtopia Now in Denver in August.

Cyprus gets extra five years for halloumi
The European Commission has granted Cyprus a five-year transition period to comply with the requirements for the production of halloumi as a product with a Protected Designation of Origin (PDO), as the initial 10-year transition period requested by the Republic of Cyprus expires next Tuesday.
