IDF Strike Eliminates Senior Hezbollah Commander in Beirut

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that the Israeli Air Force (IAF) carried out a precise operation on Monday, eliminating Suhail Hussein Husseini, a key Hezbollah commander in the Beirut region. Husseini was a senior figure within Hezbollah's Jihad Council, involved in coordinating weapon transfers from Iran and distributing advanced armaments among Hezbollah units.

Lebanese national news agency ANI reported that there were Israeli bombings in and around a southern Beirut suburb, including four “very heavy” bombings, shortly after the Israeli army ordered civilians to evacuate immediately and hastily from several sectors of this stronghold of the Shiite Hezbollah movement.

Greeks, Cypriots evacuated from Lebanon land in Elefsina

A C-130 military transport plane from the Hellenic Air Force (HAF) landed at Elefsina Air Base shortly after 4 p.m., following a successful evacuation mission of Greek and Cypriot citizens from Lebanon. 

Earlier, the aircraft had safely evacuated 22 Greek and 38 Cypriot nationals from Beirut. 

Hamas claims responsibility for Jaffa killings

Hamas' military wing has claimed responsibility for a mass shooting in Tel Aviv that left seven people dead, including a Greek national, and many others wounded.

It said the two attackers, who opened fire on a boulevard and train station in Jaffa Tuesday evening, were its militants and hailed from the southern West Bank city of Hebron.
