According to Allied command, US and allied aircrafts launched six air strikes against the Islamic State in Kobani,Syria.

In the last 24 hours allied aircrafts also launched eight raids against positions of the Islamic State in Iraq, according to the same sources.

Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) insurgents took control on Feb. 12 of large parts of the western Iraqi town of al-Baghdadi, threatening an air base where U.S. Marines are training Iraqi troops, officials said.
