Israel’s PM pitches fiber optic cable idea to link Asia, Middle East to Europe
Israel's prime minister on Sunday floated the idea of building infrastructure projects such as a fiber optic cable linking countries in Asia and the Arabian Peninsula with Europe through Israel and Cyprus.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he's "quite confident" such an infrastructure "corridor" linking Asia to Europe through Israel and Cyprus is feasible.

Germany to Buy Israel's Iron Dome Air Defense System
Germany will buy Israel's Iron Dome air defense system, Politico reported. The budget committee of the Bundestag approved the payment of the first tranche of 560 million euros for the purchase of the Israeli Arrow-3 air defense system.
Bulgaria and 13 other NATO members agreed on the Joint Purchase of Air Defense Systems
Fourteen NATO allies signed a letter of intent on Thursday to jointly supply air defense systems, Reuters reports.
The allies agreed to jointly purchase air defense systems such as the Patriot and Arrow 3, which are manufactured by Boeing and Israel Aerospace Industries.
The signing ceremony took place at NATO headquarters in Brussels.
Biden to meet with Israeli leaders on second day of Mideast tour
U.S. President Joe Biden will hold bilateral talks on July 14 with Israeli officials in Jerusalem, where the two allies are expected to declare a "united stand" on common foe Iran.
Biden touched down in Tel Aviv on Wednesday for the first Middle East tour of his presidency, which will see him meet Israeli and Palestinian leaders before flying onwards to Saudi Arabia.

Russia pledges support for normalization of Turkey-Armenia relations
Russia on Nov. 25 voiced support for normalization of relations between Turkey and Armenia, saying it would contribute to the regional stability.
Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Armenia asked Russia to help in this process, adding that some steps in this regard had already been taken.
