Federer is Officially the Oldest Number One in Tennis

For the first time since October 2012, Grand Slam winning record holder Roger Federer has again climbed to the top of the world tennis rankings. At 36, the Swiss replaced Rafael Nadal (Spain) and officially became the oldest number one in history. The previous record holder was Andre Agassi (USA), who headed the ATP rankings at 33 in 2003.

Grigor Dimitrov Continues to be No. 3 World Tennis

Grigor Dimitrov is No. 3 in the world rankings. The Bulgarians failed to defend his title from Brisbane and lost 160 points from his assets.

Bulgarian top male tennis player Grigor Dimitrov defeated on Sunday Lukas Rosol (Czech Republic) at the Western and Southern Open tennis tournament in Cincinnati, Ohio.

The game of three sets, which lasted 1 hour and 25 minutes, ended 6:2, 3:6, 6:3.

Dimitrov will have to face in his next match either Vasek Pospisil (Canada) or Denis Kudla (US).

Bulgaria's Dimitrov Facing Guido Pella in City Open

Bulgaria's top male tennis player Grigor Dimitrov is facing Argentina's Guido Pella later on Wednesday in the second round of Citi Open in Washington DC.

This is the first-ever game between Dimitrov and Pella. For the Bulgarian, it comes at a time when he is trying to recover after a tough season of defeats.

Tennis-Tipsarevic falls in second round in Houston

HOUSTON - Serbia's Janko Tipsarevic failed to reach the quarterfinals of the ATP tournament in Houston, after losing to Colombia's Santiago Giraldo in the second round in straight sets 7-6 (7-2), 6-3 early Friday morning CET.

It took Giraldo, currently 32nd in the world rankings, an hour and a half of play to reduce Tipsarevic's head-to-head advantage to 2-1.
