Putin to meet Erdoğan in Turkey on Oct 10: Kremlin

President Vladimir Putin will meet his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Turkey on Oct. 10, the Kremlin said on Oct. 4, as the countries mend ties shattered by Ankara's shooting down of a Russian warplane last year.

"The visit will be on October 10," Interfax news agency quoted Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov as saying.

Turkish army hits 80 ISIL targets in northern Syria

The Turkish military hit at least 80 Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) targets in northern Syria on Oct. 4 as part of the ongoing Euphrates Shield operation, according to a military source.
In a statement, the Turkish General Staff said 80 ISIL targets had been hit with 199 rounds of Fırtına howitzer fire and 20 rounds of multiple rocket launchers.        

Exhibition organizer says bookings hurt by Turkey coup attempt

Exhibition organizer ITE Group Plc said on Oct. 3 that the attempted coup in Turkey in July had "significantly affected" international travel to the country, hurting the company's bookings on Turkish events.
ITE reported an 8 percent fall in like-for-like revenue in its fourth quarter ended Sept. 30, despite recording benefits from the post-Brexit weakness of the pound.
