World powers, Iran to hold nuclear talks in New York on September 18
Six world powers and Iran will hold new talks in New York on September 18, EU and U.S. officials said Sept. 4, as efforts intensify toward clinching a nuclear deal by a November deadline.
The talks will involve United States, China, Russia, Britain, France and Germany and be led by European Union foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton, her spokesman Michael Mann said.
Iran foreign minister to visit Turkey, Russia
Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif will visit Turkey on Aug. 28 before embarking on a mini-tour of Europe that will take him to Russia, Italy, Luxembourg and Belgium, Iranian media reported.
In Turkey, Zarif will attend the ceremony inaugurating Recep Tayyip ErdoÄan as president.

US, Iran lay ground for nuclear talks extension
U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and his Iranian counterpart have laid the groundwork for an extension of a July 20 deadline to strike a historic nuclear deal after intense talks in Vienna.
A Western diplomat went as far as to say that it was now "highly probable" Iran and world powers would agree to such a move, and that the extension would be months not weeks.

Rouhani is in Ankara with delicate timing
As Iranâs President Hassan Rouhani starts his two-day official visit to Ankara today hosted by President Abdullah Gül of Turkey, high rank delegations from the U.S. and Iran will meet in Geneva for two days of nuclear talks in the first direct diplomatic contact since the Islamic Revolution in 1979.
