Djokovic through to Australian Open third round
MELBOURNE - Serbia's top-ranked tennis player Novak Djokovic defeated Frenchman Enzo Couacaud 6-1, 6-7 (5-7) in the Australian Open second round on Thursday.
Djokovic won comfortably despite hamstring injury problems in the second set.
In the third round, Djokovic will face Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov, who defeated Serbia's Laslo Djere.

Djokovic defeats Halys, to face Shapovalov in Adelaide quarters
ADELAIDE - Serbia's top-ranked tennis player Novak Djokovic defeated Frenchman Quentin Halys 7-6 (7-3), 7-6 (7-5) at the Adelaide ATP tournament on Thursday to reach the quarter-finals.
The Serbian will play Canadian Denis Shapovalov in a bid to reach the semi-finals.
Novak: Alkaraz played bravely and maturely, he deserved to win
True, he was defeated by 19-year-old Carlos Alcaraz, but it was a great match in which the younger tennis player had more strength and nerves in the tied finish of the match.
