Systematic harassment a father led to an attempted suicide by 11-year-old girl who jumped from the third floor of a residential building in the Zaharna Fabrika quarter in Sofia.

The father was detained for 72 hours, the prosecution reported. His measure of remand will be heard on Friday by the Sofia District Court.

Ilic came across the situation on the road between Leskovac and Vlasotince, where a local, dissatisfied with a court case where he sought to be given his land back, decided to commit suicide by jumping off the bridge, to which he previously pinned an explanation of his move.

A Syrian woman who attempted to commit suicide by jumping into the cold sea in Istanbul has accused her rescuer of stealing her cell phone.

A spokesman for the local police in the town of Kragujevac, where the incident took place, confirmed that the young man did not live in the residential building from whose 15th floor he jumped.

Two women who were detained after encouraging a man to commit suicide by jumping off the Bosporus Bridge in Istanbul were released on condition of legal control by an Istanbul court on March 10.
