Body of missing Turk cremated in US without family's consent
The body of a Turkish man, who had been missing for three months and was residing in the United States for the past seven years, has been cremated without his family's consent, reports VOA Turkish, a multimedia news service.
Abdullah Taha Kılıç overdosed on drugs three months ago and was found dead at his home in Philadelphia, according to the news service.
Germany approves major arms exports to Türkiye: Report
Germany has authorized large-scale arms exports to Türkiye for the first time in years, Der Spiegel reported on Oct. 6.

Senior journalist Hasan Kılıç, a former employee of Hürriyet and the Turkish Journalism Association (TGC) member, has died at the age of 79 on Dec. 18.
Kılıç, who worked at Hürriyet for 34 years, died of a heart attack.

Theologian attacked by reactionary group
Theologian Cemil Kılıç has been attacked by a radical Islamist group in front of his house in Istanbul's Gaziosmanpaşa district, while Kılıç stated that he had been threatened for a few months.
Announcing the attack on a social media post, Kılıç said that while walking past a mosque, a man came up to him and started to shout saying, "Allahu Akbar."

Hagia Sophia’s new cat missing: Official
A beloved Angora cat named "Kılıç," who resided at the Hagia Sophia in Istanbul since the opening of the marvel to Islamic worship last year, has gone missing, according to an official.
"Kılıç," which means "Sword" in English, was brought from the capital Ankara to befriend Gli, another feline living in the historic site for the last 16 years.
