More than 300 students score highest mark in high school entrance exam

Some 352 students out of 992,906 examinees have scored the highest mark as the Ministry of Education has announced the results of the High School Entrance Exam (LGS) on June 28.

School buildings at risk in Istanbul being reinforced, rebuilt: Report

Over 1,800 children reunited with families after Feb. 6 earthquakes
Ayşegül Yıldırım Kara, Director General of Child Services at the Family and Social Policies Ministry, said that 1,874 of the 1,912 children taken under protection following the Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquakes that affected 11 provinces have been reunited with their families within a year.
Baby handed over to family 50 days after quakes
A baby who was rescued from under the rubble in the Kahramanmaraş earthquakes and brought to the southern province of Mersin for treatment was handed over to his parents 50 days later.
Katibe and Naser Alkhalef had just moved to the southern province of Kahramanmaraş with their three children before the devastating quakes hit the region.

Female truck driver travels 4,300 km without rest to bring aid to quake zone
A female truck driver in France who has traveled 4,300 km for four days without a break and delivered 420 parcels of aid to the quake-stricken southern province of Kahramanmaraş, was included in the "Heroic women" photo series projected by the Culture and Tourism Ministry on the Galata Tower on Women's Day.
Historic Maraş Bazaar reopens as shopkeepers try to return to normal life
In the southeastern province of Kahramanmaraş, the epicenter of the earthquakes, the historic Maraş Bazaar has slowly started to open up its doors again in order for the remaining citizens to get back to the normal course of life.
Although the city is relatively empty, people filled the streets in the central area where the historical bazaar is located.
Textile production in quake region to increase gradually
Last month's devastating earthquakes also affected industrial and commercial life in 11 provinces. Kahramanmaraş, the epicenter of the earthquake, and its neighboring provinces are among the most important textile and garment centers in Türkiye.
