Roman columns used as apartment decoration in Turkey's Antalya taken to museum
Two 2,000-year-old granite columns dating back to the Roman era, which previously made headlines after a local used them as an apartment building decoration, were taken on July 3 to a museum in the southern province of Antalya.

Antalya's historic Kaleiçi on its way to UNESCO
Kaleiçi, the historic city center in the southern province of Antalya's Muratpa?a district, will be submitted to UNESCO in May for inclusion on the World Heritage List. The historic district has a rich history, from the Pergamon Kingdom through the Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman periods.

Baby seal shelters from snow in Antalya marina
A baby seal became disoriented due to heavy snowfall and storms on the night of Jan. 17, taking shelter on land in the Kaleiçi Marina in the southern Turkish resort province of Antalya.
Locals noticed the seal and called the Coast Guard at 3:00 a.m. on Jan. 18.
