Wildfires erupt in eastern Attica due to lightning
Two wildfires ignited by lightning Friday afternoon are burning in Kalyvia Thorikou, eastern Attica.
Firefighters have dispatched 36 personnel, 13 vehicles and one helicopter to control the blazes. Volunteers are assisting.

Sparta: Fire in the forested area in the Kalyvia Socha region
A wildfire is currently ongoing in a forested area in the region of Kalyvia Socha, in the Municipality of Sparta, Laconia.
On the scene are 31 firefighters, with two ground teams from the 9th Special Disaster Response Unit (EMODE) and six vehicles, while four firefighting airplanes and one helicopter are conducting water drops.
