Mark Eliyahu on Istanbul stage
As part of his world tour 'Endless,' composer and kamancheh master Mark Eliyahu will be at Zorlu PSM Turkcell Stage on Nov 19.
The musician will be accompanied by his father, musician, composer, musicologist and tar master Piris Eliyahu, as well as Rony Iwryn on percussion, Haim Weiss on keyboards, and Adi Rotem on guitar and keyboards on stage.

Lute makes comeback on Iran music scene
The Oriental lute is making a comeback in Iran after decades in the shadows as musicians reconnect with an instrument integral to Arab and Turkish musical tradition.
Known as the oud in Arabic, it is commonly called the barbat in Persian, although some would argue the instruments differ slightly.

Online kamancha festival to bring together masters
Masters of a musical instrument family popular in many Western Asian and Eastern Mediterranean countries will come together at an online festival organized by a music school based in Istanbul.
"We are organizing an online kamancha festival. It is going to be the first international effort in this field," Arslan Hazreti, kamancha artist and crafter, told Hürriyet Daily News.

Mark Eliyahu performs in Istanbul, Ankara
As part of his tour 'Let It Be,' kamancheh master Mark Eliyahu, who combines ancient instrument sounds with modern and electronic, performed a concert on June 25 at Istanbul's Zorlu PSM. He was accompanied by Rony Iwryn Haim Weiss, Adi Rotem and his father Piris Eliyahu during the concert. Eliyahu will also be on the stage tonight in Ankara.
