Tokayev, Kazakh military delegation attend presentation of Serbian arms

BATAJNICA - Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and a military delegation from the country attended a presentation of Serbian arms and military equipment at the Batajnica military airport near Belgrade on Tuesday.

Opportunities for military cooperation were presented as well.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic led the Kazakh delegation during the display.

Vucic: Serbia-Kazakhstan relations based on deep friendship

BELGRADE - Speaking to reporters after a meeting with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in Belgrade, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said the relations between the two countries were based on deep friendship and thanked Kazakhstan for always supporting the territorial integrity of Serbia.

Tokayev arrives in Belgrade

BELGRADE  - Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived in Belgrade on Monday afternoon and was welcomed by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic at the Nikola Tesla Airport.

Tokayev, whose presidential plane was escorted by Serbian Armed Forces jets, was given a guard-of-honour welcome at the airport.

Serbia, Kazakhstan sign 2025 plan on bilateral military cooperation

BELGRADE - Serbian Defence Minister Bratislav Gasic on Monday received Kazakh Defence Minister Lt Gen Ruslan Jaqsylyqov, who is on an official visit to Belgrade.

A 2025 plan on bilateral military cooperation was signed at a meeting between Serbian and Kazakh delegations, the Serbian MoD said in a statement.

Kazakhstan has approved a plan to build its first nuclear power station in a referendum, overcoming lingering resentment over massive radiation exposure from Soviet-era nuclear tests.

The Central Asian country is the world's largest producer of uranium and has massive oil reserves but it suffers from chronic energy shortages.

Kazakh president receives Türkiye's defense minister

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on Wednesday received visiting Turkish National Defense Minister Yaşar Güler, who arrived in the country on an official visit a day earlier.

A statement by the Kazakh presidency said Tokayev, during his meeting with Güler, noted the progressive development of Turkish-Kazakh ties across the entire spectrum of bilateral and multilateral agendas.
