Albanian police on Wednesday arrested a journalist, Kastriot Myftaraj, for calling on people to kill the Croatian head of the EU Delegation to Albania, Romana Vlahutin.

BELGRADE - Kastriot Imeri, son of the activist of the opposition Albanian party "Democratic League of Kosovo" Hakim Imeri, who was killed in 1999, addressed a letter to the Special Court hoping that the circumstances of the death of his father will be clarified.

Albania's Speaker of Parliament, Ilir Meta, on Thursday angrily denied allegations of taking bribes following BIRN's investigations into corrupt dealings involving the electricity distributor CEZ Shperndarje and the debt collection company DIA.
