With that, he became the tennis player with the most Grand Slam titles in history - 24.
In addition, he won the Masters in Cincinnati and Paris, and the Final Masters in Turin, and he started the year with a triumph in Adelaide.

Ledecky wins US 1,500-meter free title
Katie Ledecky closed out the U.S. swimming championships on a high note on July 1, winning the 1,500m freestyle in an impressive 15min 29.64sec to book a fourth individual event at the World Championships in Fukuoka, Japan.
Ledecky, who set the world record of 15:20.48 in the same Indianapolis Natatorium pool in 2018, posted the sixth-fastest time ever and now owns the top 15.

Ledecky reclaims 400 title at worlds, eyeing more
Katie Ledecky started the United States' medal collection at the world swimming championships with a gold by reclaiming her title in the women's 400 meters.
The Americans finished the first day of racing with two gold, one silver and three bronze.

Titmus wins duel in the pool as Dressel launches Olympic gold rush
Australia's Ariarne Titmus won a thrilling 400m freestyle duel with American great Katie Ledecky in the Olympic pool on July 26 as Caeleb Dressel launched his bid for a seven-gold spree in style.
The Tokyo Aquatics Centre also witnessed a dominant 100m breaststroke swim by world record holder Adam Peaty, who defended his title to give Britain its first gold medal of the Games.

Caeleb Dressel and Katie Ledecky were honored as USA Swimming's top male and female athletes of 2017 at the Golden Goggles awards on Nov. 19.
