Dachshunds, the German dog breed known for their distinctive long bodies and short legs, face an uncertain future if proposed changes to an animal protection law are approved, Germany's kennel club said.

But that’s just a fairytale, you might think. Well the idea of feral children might sound unbelievable, but in fact there have been instances of real children being raised by wild animals.

A heartbreaking video has emerged showing a rescued dog that is so traumatised it does dare to look at people and sits in the corner of the room staring at the wall.

The video was shared by the Irish charity PAWS Animal Rescue and shows Cara sitting in the corner of the kennel and refusing to turn round even though the caring workers were gently calling her.

The 5th International Dog Festival-Athens 2015 will take place from October 9 to 11 at the renovated “MEC-Mediterranean Exhibition Center” in Paiania (301 Lavriou Avenue). The three-day festival is for pet owners and their furry friends with events aimed at increasing people’s awareness regarding their pets needs.
