A Louisville bank employee armed with a rifle opened fire at his workplace Monday morning, killing five people — including a close friend of Kentucky's governor — while livestreaming the attack on Instagram, authorities said.

Two HH60 Blackhawks were conducting a routine exercise around 10:00 p.m. local time when they collided, Director of Public Affairs at U.S. Army Garrison Fort Campbell, Brendalyn Carpenter-Player, told Fox News Digital.

The shooting death of Breonna Taylor was front and center on the first day of a criminal trial for the only police officer charged in the deadly 2020 raid.

Brett Hankison, now a former Louisville police officer, fired 10 shots in the raid, none of which hit Taylor, but prosecutors said they endangered the couple and child who lived next door.

Workers on the night shift at Mayfield Consumer Products were in the middle of the holiday rush, cranking out candles, when a tornado closed in on the factory and the word went out: "Duck and cover."

At least 50 people are feared dead in Kentucky after a tornado swept through the U.S. state, Governor Andy Beshear told a news conference early on Dec. 11.

"I fear that there are more than 50 dead in Kentucky... probably closer to somewhere between 70 and 100, it's devastating," he said.
