UEFA's ethics and disciplinary body has banned Albania's top soccer team Skenderbeu for ten years and fined it a million euros after finding it guilty of running a large-scale betting scam following a two-year investigation.

The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) announced this on its website, adding that the anonymous death threats "presumably intended to intimidate the inspectors, and stop them carrying out their work" - but that "these threats will not succeed, and the police have also been informed."

UEFA's Ethics and Disciplinary Inspectorate has recommended a 10-year ban from UEFA competitions and 1 million euros fine for Albania's top soccer team, KS Skenderbeu, over alleged match-fixing, Albanian media reported on Thursday.

Zoran Tosic scored a freekick goal in the 39th minute and Leandre Tawamba netted in the 66th minute to put Partizan in second place in the Group B table as Dynamo Kyiv beat Young Boys 1-0 in Bern.
