Kiki Dimoula, acclaimed poet, dies at 88
Kiki Dimoula, an acclaimed Greek poet and Academy of Athens member, has died at the age of 88.
The cause was a heart attack, the hospital where she spent her last 20 days announced. She died a little before 6 p.m. Saturday, the announcement says.

Sotiris Sorogas | Thessaloniki | February 15 - April 5
The northern port city's Teloglion Fine Arts Foundation presents works by Sotiris Sorogas in a show that juxtaposes painting with poetry, imagery and literature. The acclaimed artist's works interact with poems by the likes of Odysseas Elytis, Giorgos Seferis and Kiki Dimoula, prompting an artistic dialogue on subjects such as light, eternity and loneliness.
O Vaftistikos | Athens | To November 6
The Greek National Opera will be staging a new production of Theofrastos Sakellaridis's "O Vaftistikos" (The Godson) in a series of performances running taking place on October 30 and November 2 and 6. Directed by Simos Kakalas, the operetta is one of the Greek repertoire's most popular works, with a story based on a series of comical misunderstandings.

Kiki Dimoula & Anise Koltz | Athens | October 31
Greek poet Kiki Dimoula will speak with Luxembourgian poet Anise Koltz at the French Institute in Athens on Monday, October 31, on the occasion of the publication of new a volume of poetry by France's Gallimard Editions, "Somnambule du Jour," which features works by Koltz. The discussion will be coordinated by translator-literary critic Cecile Inglessis-Margellos.

2nd Athens World Poetry Festival
The Poets’ Circle will hold the 2nd Athens World Poetry Festival, from September 21 to September 26, at the Garden of the Athens Concert Hall.
50 poets from 21 different countries will take part in the festival and Greece will be represented by Nanos Valaoritis, Titos Patrikios, Kiki Dimoula, Evgenios Aranitsis, Giannis Dallas, Dimitra Christodoulou and Kostas Stergiopoulos.
