Two Iraqis detained over Syntagma knifing
Police in Athens on Tuesday were questioning two Iraqi nationals in connection with the knifing of a kiosk worker on Monday night near Syntagma Square.
One of the two men is alleged to have stabbed the employee while robbing the kiosk on Vasilissis Amalias Avenue.
A customer at the kiosk also sustained minor injuries during the incident.

Kiosk numbers to be reduced in Athens
The City of Athens has announced it will reduce the number of kiosks in the capital by 323. Authorities in the capital are scrapping kiosk spots to boost sidewalk space and improve aesthetic standards, among other reasons.
The number of kiosks has dropped drastically since Mayor Giorgos Kaminis took office in 2011, from 931 to 600.

In April of this year, Ukraine-born artist, musician and dancer Anton Kats raised the curtain on Documenta 14 in Athens with his "A-Letheia" project, in which he turned abandoned street kiosks in the downtown areas of Psyrri and Kypseli into interactive installations.

Anarchist 'political kiosk' opens in Exarchia
A "political kiosk" that was set up more than a week ago in a red cargo container in central Exarchia Square by self-proclaimed anarchist group members was to officially open on Tuesday afternoon. According to a statement on an anti-establishment website, the kiosk will also be accompanied by works to create a children's playground.
