For the past two years, Turkey has been in a downward political spiral where the language of hatred and demonization overshadows everything else. The spiral is only getting deeper and deeper by jumping to new levels with every new political crisis and drama.

The courthouse in Istanbul?s Ça?layan Square is quite an odd architectural masterpiece. It is considered the largest courthouse in Europe. It took years and $250 million to build it, but it only took a couple of hours to destroy its credibility as well as the precious life of a prosecutor.

Istanbul courthouse captors laid to rest

The two far-leftist militants who were killed by security forces after they took prosecutor Mehmet Selim Kiraz hostage on March 31 inside an Istanbul courthouse were laid to rest on April 2. 

?afak Yayla, one of the captors of 46-year-old Kiraz, was laid to rest in his hometown of Çanakç?'s Karabörk village, which is located in the northern province of Giresun.

Turkey's opposition furious at gov't over failure in deadly hostage-taking

Turkey?s opposition parties have blamed the government for failing to rescue prosecutor Mehmet Selim Kiraz, 46, who was killed after he was taken hostage by two members of an outlawed group on March 31, decrying the security forces? failed rescue operation that ended with death of all three individuals.
