Primorsko and Kiten, two popular summer destinations on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, are experiencing a busy tourist season. Zdravko Vasilev, a local resident who has captured photos of the crowded beaches, reported that tourist interest in these resorts remains high despite challenges facing local businesses.

Four people drowned on Bulgaria's Southern Black Sea coast in the last 24 hours. This was reported by the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Burgas.

In total, there are more than 56,000 Ukrainians in accommodations and state resorts, said in an interview with BTA the Minister of Tourism Hristo Prodanov.

The resettlement of refugees from Ukraine in the buffer camps in Sarafovo and Elhovo begins today. Every refugee who wants to be accommodated in a state resort will go through one of the two buffer camps to assess his needs and decide which base to go to.

In addition to the prices of basic food products and household bills, the prices of real estate in Bulgaria are also going up.

According to a study by Nova TV in Burgas, the wave of refugees from Ukraine is affecting the real estate market - Russians are selling and Ukrainians are buying or renting housing.

Two Czech nationals drowned on holiday in Bulgarian seaside resorts, Czech Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Michaela Lagronova confirmed on Saturday evening. 

One of the holiday makers drowned on the coast near Burgas, the other in the seaside resort of Kiten. Both went swimming in risky conditions, one in a stormy sea, the other late at night. 

A sunken cruise ship for tourists closed the port in Kiten. There is fuel spilled over the bay.

A bus with 40 children from Russia crashes on the road between Kiten and Primorsko, police said in Burgas. The accident was between the bus and a car. There are no injured children who are in Bulgaria for a summer camp.

Five district centers have increased the number of their residents last year. Kardzhali joined Varna, Veliko Tarnovo, Plovdiv and Sofia, which increased their population in 2016. This shows a BTA survey of population data on cities of 31 December 2017 of the National Statistical Institute.
