Operation Ben Needham: Five leads being investigated
Ben Needham, who went missing while on holiday on the isle of Kos on July 24, 1991, would be 25 today. Over the years, his mother Kerry Needham has not stopped searching for the son that vanished after she left him in his grandparents’ care while she went to work at a local hotel. Previous leads have failed to come up with solid information but Ben’s family still keeps hoping.
‘Operation Ben’… Greek TV show spawns new leads
South Yorkshire police said that the appeal made by Ben Needham’s mother on a three-hour Greek TV show – “Light at the End of the Tunnel” – resulted in a number of calls concerning the disappearance of little Ben 24 years ago while on holiday on the island of Kos, Greece. One of the leads concern the claim by a man who believes that it could be him and who is willing to undergo DNA tests.

New leads emerge on missing Ben Needham after family appeal on Greek TV
British police said on Saturday that they are investigating new leads after the family of Ben Needham, the toddler who disappeared on the Greek island of Kos 24 years ago, appeared on Greek TV on Friday night.
South Yorkshire police said they received ?a number of calls? after the Fos sto Tounel (Light at the End of the Tunnel) show on Alpha TV.

13 people arrested for human trafficking in ?zmir
Thirteen people allegedly operating human trafficking activities were arrested in the western province of ?zmir early April 23, after many migrants were rescued illegally en route to the European Union.
A total of 13 of 17 people who were detained on April 22 on allegations of human smuggling have been arrested by a ?zmir court after being interrogated at the prosecution office.

Turkish helicopter conducts flyover of Kos – military issues statement
A Turkish military helicopter was tracked and spotted flying over the eastern Aegean island of Kos on Thursday, reportedly at an altitude of less than 1,000 feet.
The aircraft entered the Athens FIR at 09.08 GMT, while a minute later it was over the eastern portion of the island, exiting the Athens FIR at 09.13 GMT.
