Athens mayor presents proposal for extended pedestrian network
Athens Mayor Kostas Bakoyannis on Monday unveiled a proposal for an extended pedestrian network in the center of the capital, dubbed "The Grand Walk."
The proposal was presented to Interior Minister Takis Theodorikakos amid government plans to support cafes and restaurants which have been seriously hit by the coronavirus outbreak by allowing them extra space for outdoor seating.

Athens municipal employee finds bag with 19,000 euros
A cleaner working for the municipality of Athens found a bag containing 19,000 euros and delivered it to the police, Athens mayor Kostas Bakoyannis revealed in a social media post late Wednesday.
Bakoyiannis met with the woman and her supervisor to congratulate them for their reaction.
