Atromitos signs Greece midfielder Katsouranis
Atromitos announced on Friday the most impressive transfer of this winters window, the signing of former Greece skipper Costas Katsouranis.

Greece's players given heroes' welcome in Athens
Greece's World Cup squad received a heroes' welcome home on their return to Athens on Tuesday after reaching the World Cup last 16 for the first time in their history.
Over 200 supporters greeted the players at Eleftherios Venizelos airport in an impromptu gathering, chanting loudly and embracing them as they made their way through the arrivals hall.

Santos: Greece could have beaten Japan but for red card
Greece could have emerged victorious from its 0-0 World Cup Group C draw with Japan on Thursday were it not for Costas Katsouranis's first-half red card, coach Fernando Santos said.
The Greek skipper was dismissed for a second yellow in the 38th minute, leaving his side to frantically defend for the remainder of the game with Japan having close to 70 percent possession.
