Brussels piles on pressure over Greece-Cyprus-Israel electricity cable
Just when the Greek Energy Minister thought he could take a short August break, after a hectic first 30 days of the Mitsotakis administration, a stern warning from Brussels has exposed the wavering attitude that Athens has chosen by succumbing to pressure from the Chinese-controlled transmission system operator ADMIE over the Attica-Crete subsea electricity cable.
Greek PM meets with Eldorado Gold CEO
Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis met with the chief executive officer of Canadian miner Eldorado Gold, George Burns, his Athens said on Friday.
According to the announcement, the prime minister reiterated the government's support for the company's investment plans in Greece on the condition that it respects environmental regulations and generates jobs.

Mitsotakis poised to announce new cabinet
Following his landslide victory in the 7 July general election, Kyriakos Mitsotakis is poised to announce his cabinet today.
As the incoming Prime Minister had said prior to the election he had already picked his cabinet, though there may be last minute changes.

Adonis and Chatzidakis are the new ND vice presidents
Newly elected president of New Democracy Kyriakos Mitsotakis appointed Adonis Georgiadis and Kostis Chatzidakis new vice presidents of the party.
Mr. Mitsotakis appointed MP Kostis Chatzidakis responsible for drafting the government program of the party and MP Adonis Georgiadis responsible for the coordination of party’s parliamentary work, says ND’s statement.
