320 arrested in Turkey-wide police operation against PKK
Around 320 suspects, including lawyers, politicians and students, were detained and 41 of them were arrested during country-wide anti-terror operations against the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in the three days before March 16, according to data gathered by Anadolu Agency.
IMC TV satellite broadcast blacked out
The satellite broadcast of IMC TV was blacked out on Feb. 24, following a public prosecutor's demand that its frequency be cut for "making terror organization propaganda."
"There has been an interruption in the satellite broadcast of IMC TV. The reason has not been clarified yet," the small leftist station said in a tweet.

Van co-mayor sentenced to 15 years in KCK case
The co-mayor of Turkey's eastern province of Van, Bekir Kaya, was sentenced to 15 years in prison on Jan. 4 on charges of "being a member of terrorist organization," along with 12 other defendants jailed in the Kurdistan Communities Union (KCK) case.
The 13 defendants were all given jail terms between seven and 15 years.

From this general viewpoint, the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) says the state should settle with the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) to bring an end to bloodshed.
This has been tried already.

A meeting of the Democratic Society Congress (DTK) in Diyarbak?r called for the establishment of a "democratic autonomy."
This is not a demand in a democratic country coming from a segment that has faith in democracy, asking for Western-style autonomy.

Let me say this at the outset: The only factor that's strengthening in the Middle East earthquake is the Kurdish movement.
There, while Masoud Barzani is giving signals of independence, the Kurdistan Communities Union (KCK) is escalating terror to transform the southeast into a "Rojava."
