Security forces launch operation against PKK members blocking roads in Lice
Gendarmerie and special forces on May 30 launched an operation against members of the outlawed Kurdistan Workersâ Party (PKK) and its supporters, who have blocked roads since last week in the southeastern province of Diyarbakır.

PKK abducts soldier in southeastern Turkey
A Turkish soldier was taken by suspected members of the outlawed Kurdistan Workersâ Party (PKK) in the southeastern province of Diyarbakır on May 27, security sources have said.
A masked group set up a roadblock on the highway linking the districts of Lice and Hani in Diyarbakır, checking the identity cards of drivers.

The attack began when the PKK blocked a main road in the region.
