Security Measures Implemented for May 24 Celebrations in Sofia
In preparation for May 24, the Day of the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius, as well as the Day of the Bulgarian Alphabet, Education and Culture, and Slavic Literature, the National Security Service is implementing security measures in Sofia's city center. The festivities will commence with a formal procession at 10:30 a.m., commencing from the Archaeological Museum.

At its meeting on November 2, 1902, the Academic Council of the Higher School set the day of the enlightener St. Kliment Ohridski - November 25 (December 8 - a new style), for this holiday.
