Gaza death toll could be over 186,000: Report
The British medical journal, The Lancet, has issued a warning that the true death toll of the Gaza conflict could be over 186,000, accounting for 8 percent of Gaza's population.
The current official death toll stands at nearly 38,200, according to the Health Ministry in Hamas-run Gaza.

One in every 12 deaths in Greece is related to pollution, about half the rate recorded globally, according to a US scientific survey.
The report published in "The Lancet" medical journal said that approximately 9,800 deaths from a total of 122,000 in Greece in 2015 were related to pollution, i.e. some 8 percent.

Study finds that some poor countries have better diets than the rich
The Lancet and Lancet Global Health on obesity detailed the worsening food-consumption habits in 187 countries around the world. Strangely enough, it was found that people in some poor and middle-income countries have better diets than those in rich countries where major Western snack and soft drink makers are targeting children.
