Can anybody trust the United States anymore? It's getting increasingly difficult. Watching what is happening in Washington these days, it's hard to know exactly what we're looking at: a poor imitation of drama series "House of Cards" or a page out of tome by a future Edward Gibbon titled "The History of the Decline and Fall of the American Empire."

I have to admit that it sounded kind of crazy when I first heard the news that George Gigicos, one of US President Donald Trump's key campaign staffers in the runup to the 2016 elections, was in Greece helping New Democracy candidate Sofia Nikolaou in her campaign for a seat in Parliament in general elections later this year.

Donald Trump chosen as TIME Magazine’s 2016 Person of the Year
President-elect Donald Trump was selected by TIME Magazine as Person of the Year, a choice that has not come as a surprise to many. However, to show precisely how disruptive an influence the contraversial billionaire has had on world events over the past few years, the magazine cover dubbed him: “President of the Divided States of America.”
Mocked for his tweets, Trump fires back on Twitter
President-elect Donald Trump sent a dismissive tweet in response to a comedy sketch that mocked his penchant for sending tweets.
Trump again lambasted the show "Saturday Night Live," on which he is played by actor Alec Baldwin.
But whereas on other occasions Trump has tweeted his criticism the next morning, this time he fired away before the show ended.

Srebrenica's new mayor invited to Trump's Prayer Breakfast
The new head of the Srebrenica municipality, Mladen Grujicic, has received an invitation to attend the 65th National Prayer Breakfast in the U.S.
It will be organized on February 2 by the U.S. Congress and that country's new president, Donald Trump.
