Latmos

Latmos Mountains in western Türkiye is drawing attention with its natural landscape and historical texture. Traces of Latmos (Beşparmak), which is visited by many tourists every year for its prehistoric rock paintings, can be seen in the Siena Cathedral in the Tuscany region of Italy.

New paintings believed to be from the prehistoric era have come to light during the ongoing studies on Mount Latmos (Beşparmak), home to significant rock paintings from ancient times.

Two new inns and a rock shelter have been discovered on Mount Latmos (Beşparmak), located between the western provinces of Aydın and Muğla. The wall of the inns are decorated with paintings, dating back to 8,000 years ago, and the rock shelter is decorated with frescoes.
