British police have arrested a man who approached the palace gates and threw objects over the fence.
He was detained on suspicion of possession of a weapon. No shooting or injuries were reported. Police are not treating the case as an act of terrorism.

A Man Attacked British Policemen with a Knife near the Buckingham Palace
A man has attacked two British policemen near Buckingham Palace with a knife, world agencies said.
The man is arrested for causing bodily injury and attacking police officers. The law enforcement officers are slightly injured. According to reported data around 20.35 local time police tried to detain a man holding a knife on Mall Street, which is located near Buckingham Palace.
UK Police Nabs 15th Person in Manchester Bomb Probe
British police have arrested a 19-year-old man in connection with the Manchester bombing that killed 22 people last week, Voice of America radio reported.
The arrest was made late Sunday during a raid in the Gorton area of Manchester on "suspicion of offences contrary to the terrorism act," the Greater Manchester police said in a statement.
'Clear' That UK Bomber Was Part of a Network
British police confirmed Wednesday that the suicide bomber who died in an attack on a Manchester concert was not acting alone, AFP reported.
"It's very clear that this is a network that we are investigating," Manchester Chief Constable Ian Hopkins told reporters, as four people remained in custody.

Four dead in London terror incident, inc. attacker
The head of counterterrorism at London's Metropolitan Police, says four people have died in the terror incident in London, including an attacker and a police officer.
Mark Rowley says some 20 people have been wounded and Parliament was locked down. A search is underway to make certain no other attackers are in the area — though police believe there was only one attacker.

Two teens travel to Syria through Turkey: UK police
Two 17-year-old boys from Dewsbury, northern England, are believed to have traveled to Syria through Turkey, British police said April 7.
"North East Counter Terrorism Unit can confirm that West Yorkshire Police has received a report that two 17-year-old boys from Dewsbury are believed to have traveled to Syria," West Yorkshire Police said in a statement.
