Drummer found guilty in one of four child abuse cases
A well-known drummer who had previously played with popular Greek bands was found guilty by the Athens Mixed Jury Court in one of four cases of sexual abuse of underage girls filed against him.
The court handed him a four-year suspended sentenced, acknowledging two mitigating factors, as requested by his defense, of previous lawful life and good behavior following the offense.
President issues decree dissolving parliament and sets June 25 as next election day
President Katerina Sakellaropoulou issued the presidential decree dissolving Parliament and officially calling for elections on June 25 on Monday. According to the decree, the resulting Parliament will convene on Monday, July 3.
The decree is also signed by caretaker prime minister Ioannis Sarmas and members of the caretaker ministerial cabinet.
RTV Slovenija case goes to Strasbourg court
After the Slovenian Constitutional Court reversed its decision to stay the legislative changes on the governance of the public broadcaster, the petitioners challenging the law have taken their case to the European Court of Human Rights. They allege violation of the right to a fair trial.

Court allows new governing body to take over at public broadcaster
The Constitutional Court has revoked its earlier decision to stay key parts of the amended RTV Slovenija Act that was upheld in the November 2022 referendum, decreeing for the governing council of the public broadcaster to be inaugurated within seven days after the court's decision is published in the Official Gazette.
