The representatives of the five parties elected to Parliament decided on Thursday to postpone a televised debate between the party leaders scheduled for this evening, due to the 3-day mourning called after a deadly shipwreck off Pylos that killed at least 78 migrants.

Iranian voters will decide the fate of moderate President Hassan Rouhani and his policy of engagement with the West on May 19 as he goes head-to-head with hardline cleric Ebrahim Raisi.

Rouhani has spent four years trying to pull Iran out of its global isolation, reaching a 2015 deal with world powers that ended some sanctions in exchange for curbs to its nuclear program.

With more than half of the results of Thursday's UK general election now in, David Cameron's Tories appear set to have won 329 of the 650 seats in the House of Commons, according to a BBC forecast.
