Party leaders’ debate called off after deadly migrant boat sinking
The representatives of the five parties elected to Parliament decided on Thursday to postpone a televised debate between the party leaders scheduled for this evening, due to the 3-day mourning called after a deadly shipwreck off Pylos that killed at least 78 migrants.
Iran votes in head-to-head between diplomacy and resistance
Iranian voters will decide the fate of moderate President Hassan Rouhani and his policy of engagement with the West on May 19 as he goes head-to-head with hardline cleric Ebrahim Raisi.

UK Tories Set to Remain in Power After Vote
With more than half of the results of Thursday's UK general election now in, David Cameron's Tories appear set to have won 329 of the 650 seats in the House of Commons, according to a BBC forecast.
The result would allow Cameron to ditch his Liberal Democrat coalition partner of the past five years and govern alone, Bloomberg said in its coverage of the news.
