Istanbul Modern welcomes its architect
Istanbul's museum of modern art, Istanbul Modern, moved on May 4 into a new building overlooking the Bosphorus Strait, designed by Renzo Piano, the Italian-born architect of London's Shard skyscraper and the Pompidou Center in Paris.
Established in 2004, the Istanbul Modern in 2018 moved out of a rustic building that once served as a customs warehouse.

Istanbul Modern opens new museum building
The new building and exhibitions of Istanbul Modern, Türkiye's first modern and contemporary art museum, has opened on May 4. The official opening ceremony of the museum will be held later.

Could building in US movie be copy of Slovenian architect’s work?
Ljubljana – A building appearing in a new Marvel series movie is incredibly similar to a memorial complex award-winning Slovenian architect Marko Mušič designed in Montenegro in the 1970s, the newspaper Delo reports on Saturday. The architect has mixed feelings about what could be a potential copyright infringement.
Bulgarian Academy of Sciences Elects New President Online
On 30 December, the General Assembly of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS) will vote for the President of the Academy.
The only candidate for the post is the current president - Academician Julian Revalski.
He will present his management program that will be discussed by the members of the General Assembly and then candidature of Academician Revalski will be put to vote.
Pasteur Institute microbiology chief optimistic of summer break in Covid-19
Greece's response to the coronavirus outbreak has been "very successful" thanks to early containment measures, but if a vaccination is not developed soon, "we will face a real pandemic" in the fall and winter, the head of the Hellenic Pasteur Institute's Department of Microbiology, Dr. Andreas Mentis, told the state-run Athens-Macedonian News Agency (ANA-MPA) on Tuesday.

Prof. Dr. Peter Agre, who received Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2003, has become a member of the Scientific Advisory Committee of Middle East Technical University (ODTÜ), which is one of the leading universities in Turkey.
Sofia Celebrates the European Museum Night
"Mystery in a box" is the challenge of the National Museum of Military History to its visitors at the Night of Museums, which will take place on Saturday night. At the National Polytechnic Museum will be opened the exhibition "40 Years of Personal Computers Pravets".
