NGO provides legal aid to over 1,200 people in its first year
Ljubljana – The Legal Network for the Protection of Democracy has provided free legal aid to more than 1,200 people since it was established a year ago. The legal advocacy NGO has also been active when it comes to legislative amendments and appeals, the organisation said.

This law will provide free legal support to everyone, which, according to previous estimates, is about 80% of the total need for free legal aid.
The proposal of this law for the first time introduces systematic free legal aid into the legal framework of the Republic of Serbia, which will also enable the control of the quality of providing legal assistance.

Socially Disadvantaged People could Receive Free Legal Aid
Free legal aid for the socially disadvantages. The consultation can be done by phone. There are 11 specially created centers for the National Legal Aid Bureau, NOVA reports.
An average of 12 people call the phone each day for legal help, and on the other side of the phone is a lawyer with many years of experience. Advices are given free of charge.
