EP lifts far right politician Marine Le Pen’s immunity

The European Parliament has revoked French presidential candidate Marine Le Pen’s immunity for tweeting pictures of violence by Isis.
Ms Le Pen  – a member of the EU Parliament – is under investigation in France for posting three images of executions by Isis in 2015, including graphic images of the death of American journalist James Foley.

Imprisoned UN judge has no diplomatic immunity to be released: Turkish Justice Minister

A United Nations judge currently under arrest in Turkey over alleged links to the Gülenist network does not have diplomatic immunity to bar him from his imprisonment, Turkish Justice Minister Bekir Bozdağ said in a televised interview on Feb. 1. 

Bulgarian MP Gives Up Immunity to Face Vote Buying Charges

Bulgarian lawmaker Iliya Iliev has agreed to be stripped of his immunity as MP to face criminal prosecution.

Earlier, the prosecuting authority demanded his immunity over vote-buying allegations relating to the 2014 early general election.

Iliev purportedly organized a campaign to draw up lists with personal data of the residents of a Roma neighborhood in the town of Yambol.

GERB MP Agrees to Have Immunity Lifted over Investigation

Ivan Mihovski, an MP from the main governing GERB party, has given up his immunity as demanded by Bulgaria's Chief Prosecutor, his party has reported.

On Tuesday Chief Prosecutor Sotir Tsatsarov submitted a request to Parliament demanding that the immunity of Mihovski be lifted in relation to an ongoing probe.
